The countdown has officially started for the biggest fashion week in the big apple which kicks off February 11th. New York Fashion week designers will be presenting their Fall/Winter 2016 collections. What we know so far?
  • Rihanna who was named creative director for Puma, is coming to New York to present her Fall Collection on February 12th.
  • Tom Ford is making his grand return to NYFW and showing his women's and men's wear Fall collection of course, in a private setting on February 18th.
  • Ralph Rucci who had been absent in 2014 has also been added to the fashion calendar and this time with a new agenda. Presenting apparel and shoes with a more wide range of price points. The show will be in Times Square on February 17th.
  • Rebecca Minkoff is also taking a new approach to presenting her collection. She will not be showing her Fall designs, instead she is re-introducing her spring line that was already shown last September. Why? She wants to appeal to the consumer who is ready shop for the upcoming spring season. Minkoff feels that showing designs two season's ahead is confusing, forgettable and ineffective in this new era of social media. It will be interesting to see if this new tactic catches on in the industry.
