“Mairi Campbell transcends the role of performer and encompasses music itself; it just pours out of her like a love letter to the mysticism of traditional music"

Eric Rothe Ediburgh Guide *****

“Campbell’s irresistible heart-harped love-letter to a song and her life is both melodic and a tribally primal skein of disparate threads – it rocks with the ages past and present, salves with cathartic balm."

Festival of Song

Thursday 6 June to Monday 10 June 2019. Facilitated by Mairi Campbell, Helen Chadwick, Kate Howard and Ali Mills at Kilcreggan House (one hour from Glasgow on the Clyde Estuary).

Celebrate midsummer with some of your favourite song leaders at the Festival of Song. Over the course of a long weekend we’ll sing a mix of songs we know, new compositions and explore our creativity through improvisation and time around the fire.

We’ll combine more formal sessions in the lovely singing hall at Kilcreggan House with time in the gardens or for you to walk on the beach, forest or up the hill to the reservoir. There’ll be a ceilidh on the Saturday evening, with a scratch band made up of among others our song leaders Mairi and Kate.

Do consider joining us.

What a gig! There was an electricity in the air. The band were glorious and the whole process has been a dream. I've an amazing band of pals who are the most amazing musicians and having my daughter Ada, my style guru, in the band is very special. Here's to more of the same!

And a 5 star review from Hugh Kerr in the Wee Review!

All the very best for now.
