Dear Investors,

First of all the ABAN team wishes you a most wonderful Happy New Year 2016. We look forward to another exciting year working with the early stage investor community and promoting a culture of angel investing in Africa. As we prepare to roll out our plans and programs for the new year we already want to highlight two events:

The 2016 Silicon Valley African Diaspora Investment Symposium

ABAN is a proud partner of the symposium bringing together investors, entrepreneurs and business experts of the African Diaspora in Silicon Valley. The event will take place January 29-30 in Santa Clara and is organised by the African Diaspora Network. Africa's own Lady-of-Tech and ABAN co-founder Rebecca Enonchong is one of the key-note speakers and VC4Africa CEO and ABAN co-founder Ben White will facilitate a workshop on early stage investing. For more information please see Diaspora Investment Symposium.

The World Business Angels Investment Forum

ABAN is also a proud partner of the largest annual global business angel event presented by GBAN, the Global Business Angels Network and organised by EBAN (The European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds and Early Stage Market Players), MBAN (The MENA Business Angels Network), ABAN (The African Business Angels Network) and TBAA (The Turkish Business Angels Association). The forum will take place 21 - 23 February 2016 in Istanbul. ABAN president H.Tomi Davies will be one of the key-note speakers and the 'African Opportunity' will be highlighted during the Africa Investor Forum. For more info: WBAF2016.
