We had two demos in our past meeting. Michiel Stornebrink, Data Scientist at TNO, presented a credential schema for PCR test results as an input to UC2: Proof of COVID-19 Status. The goal of his work is to make the schema usable for uNLock, a participating project at CCI and a consortium co-founded by TNO. Michael Corning demonstrated a revamped user journey of SafeinSisters, another participating project, and shared their lessons learned from the community input. The new implementation focuses on Local Contact Tracing that requires no Bluetooth or GPS and does not need Apple, Google or the government.
Our workstream will have a summer break and reconvene on August 4, 2020. Likely, there will be one or two more demos created by then.
Rules & Governance
We presented the CCI Governance Framework V1 at MyData COVID Thematic Group's second workshop. We have set up a CCI GF Task Force under the Ecosystem Foundry Working Group of the Trust over IP Foundation to increase CCI's visibility among a diverse group of industry experts.
As the timeline and deliverables of the GF V2 begin to crystalize, we will work more closely with projects and use cases and leverage resources and tools from external groups to develop a more prescriptive V2 of the governance framework.
Tools & Technology
Many of us within the workstream have contributed to the founding of the Decentralized Semantics Working Group at the Trust over IP Foundation and participated in its first meeting joined by 31 attendees from across the world. We think the working group is an important addition to the broader tools and technology landscape, and we will keep exploring synergies between CCI and the working group, directing projects and use cases to join relevant conversations and activities.
In our workstream meeting, SafeinSisters demonstrated their most recent development, a novel contact tracing regime.
Coordination, Communications & Inclusion
We have been working to establish improved processes for our key work items, such as newsletters and blog posts, to enhance transparency and community engagement. We are also currently drafting guidelines for decision-making across CCI. A CCI leadership meeting is scheduled to take place on July 14 for workstream leads to discuss the guidelines as well as the leadership team, progress with organizational restructuring and topics related to CCI as a legal entity.
We will continue participating in conversations with other communities in an effort to increase transparency and visibility while having conversations internally about how to best utilize existing connections and resources.
