St. Vincent de Paul Georgia's putting their new Teaching Kitchen to work!
This June, SVdP Georgia &

Tuesdays & Thursdays, participating veterans will get an opportunity to learn about making better food choices along with cooking demonstrations in SVdP Georgia's new state-of-the-art teaching kitchen.

Special thanks to our first group of veterans who not only helped kick off this great event but left with FREE groceries, courtesy of our

Volunteer Spotlight

SVdP GEORGIA'S MONTH OF JUNE VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Bob Pelletier & Kora
Shannon Shreiber
"I was searching for a new volunteer opportunity to help those in need after not being able to do much during the pandemic; The St. Vincent de Paul website was first on my list, and the Mission and Vision statements were effective in convincing me that this was the right volunteer opportunity, not to mention the work SVdP does has an immediate and positive impact on families.
The smiles on the children's faces when making a delivery and knowing that this simple act is making a difference for these families is what keeps me coming back! Plus I enjoy working with the great staff (Elizabeth, Josephine, and Anterior) at St. Vincent de Paul and appreciate their sense of mission in helping others."

I was looking to fulfill hours and St. Vincent de Paul Georgia was in my community. My favorite part about volunteering in their community pantry is trying to make it a beautiful space where our guests may shop, have fun, and memorable
experiences.

What keeps me coming back is knowing that, in my own way, I am making the lives of others a little better and Ms. Josephine makes me feel appreciated for my constant organization.

Preventing Homelessness, Fighting Hunger, and Changing Lives.
Founded in 1903, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia provides immediate relief to those on the edge of poverty. We help neighbors in crisis maintain self-sufficiency and dignity by providing emergency mortgage, rent or utility payments; food, clothing, medicine; legal aid; loan or tax assistance, and career guidance. SVdP puts hope into action to prevent poverty from spreading to another family.
