SVdP Holiday Highlight
SVdP GEORGIA ADOPTS A FAMILY!
This holiday season, SVdP Georgia staff participated in the Christmas Connections Program with Catholic Charities Atlanta. With the help of all SVdP Georgia staff, we were able to adopt a family of six for Christmas this year. The team shopped and wrapped Christmas presents for each family member in need this season.
Because of the generous donations toward the Christmas Connection Program, nearly 3,600 individuals will wake up on Christmas morning with gifts and shared blessings under their trees.
Happy Holidays from all of us here at SVdP Georgia!
Spirit of Giving
NEEDED MORE NOW THAN EVER IS HOPE!
PLEASE GIVE TODAY!
So many of our neighbors are in need this holiday season.
Alone, hungry, cold, and afraid.
Together, with your help, we can make this holiday season brighter with love and hope and offer peace, and goodwill to all.
Finding the perfect holiday gift can be difficult, but giving a Gift of Hope through the SVdP Giving Catalog is an easy choice. Give friends and family the power to change lives and help someone in need by giving a gift that your family and friends can feel good about, like meals that provide comfort and strength, or a fresh start for a family who has lost everything.
Make your holiday shopping easy and meaningful by giving the gift of Hope.
Because of you, we surpassed our goal and secured our matching gift, raising over $30,000 to help our neighbors in need!
On December 1st, our generous community of supporters came together in celebration of generosity and truly made a difference.
Each gift made to SVdP Georgia is critical to ensuring we can answer every call for help, to help families stay in their homes, pay their essential bills, keep food on the table and clothing on their backs, and continue programs and services to help move them on the path to self-sufficiency.
On behalf of our neighbors, our board, our volunteers and our staff, THANK YOU! Our work would not be possible without supporters like you.
MY STORY, BY KENDRA
Telling your tough life story is never easy. No one wants the world to see them at their lowest. But once you have been inspired by someone else’s great story, you realize your story may help inspire others too.
At 42 years old, I was college-educated, employed at $22 per hour, and homeless. I would have never imagined that this would be my life. I paid my bills, I took good care of my children, I always gave to charity. I’m not on drugs, I don’t engage in criminal activity, so "how did I get here," was my daily question. What did I do to end up living in an extended stay motel with my two children?
Donations to general operations will support all programs by St. Vincent de Paul across Georgia.
