Day Camp: June 12 - 16, 2023
|
|
We are so excited to be bringing back Day Camp to Pyoca! Campers will explore the outdoors all week through hiking, games, boating, swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, and more. Campers will participate in daily Bible study sessions focusing on this summer's theme Fruitful Faith, all about the fruits of the Spirit.

C.I.T. Training Weekend: June 23 - 25, 2023
|
|
|
We're excited to offer a brand new C.I.T. training weekend next summer! Many of our high school campers look forward to serving as a C.I.T. throughout the summer, and with this training weekend Transform campers will have the opportunity to extend their camp session to stay for an additional weekend of training. C.I.T. training is now required in order to work with younger campers in later Pyoca sessions.

This weekend is to provide time for fellowship, leadership development, and learning the ins and outs of running camp. C.I.T.s who will serve Week 2 Pyoca Programs will stay over the weekend and into the following week. Those serving during Week 4 will depart on Sunday morning and return on July 9th.
Best of all, it's free! Because we value leadership development at Pyoca, as well as the hard work each C.I.T. gives back to camp each summer, C.I.T. training is available at no cost to high school campers.

Challenge Art Camp: June 25 - 30, 2023

Express yourself at Pyoca this summer! We are excited to introduce Challenge Art Camp in 2023, open to campers entering grades 7 - 9 in the fall of 2023. Campers will get to explore their creative sides through a wide array of art projects, as well as the opportunity to engage in a number of traditional Challenge Camp activities.

UFO Quilt & Craft Retreat: Oct. 26th - 30th
|
|
Join us this fall for our 20th annual UFO Quilt & Craft Retreat. Quilters and crafters are invited to bring their unfinished projects to camp and work on a variety of unfinished projects that are piling up at home. Many guests bring their sewing machines and work on quilts, but feel free to bring your knitting, needlepoint, scrapbooking, or any other sewing/craft project along!

Fall Youth Retreat: Nov. 18th - 20th
|
|
Join us this fall for our annual Fall Youth Retreat. This year's theme is focused around PC(USA)'s Matthew 25 initiative. We are grateful for the partnership of First Pres. Bloomington, First Pres. Columbus, and Fairlawn Pres. as we plan this amazing weekend retreat.

Jackson Co. 50/50 Ultramarathon: Dec. 2nd - 4th
|
|
|
Join us on Saturday, Dec. 3rd for the Jackson Co. 50/50 Ultramarathon. Each year we partner with D.IN.O. (Do INdiana Off-road) to host their last ultramarathon of the year. Runners have their choice of three races: 10 miles, 50k, or 50 miles. Stay for the day's race, or lodge at Pyoca for the whole weekend!

The race begins and ends at Pyoca, following a 10-mile loop through the Jackson-Washington State Forestry next to camp. Learn more about the race and how to register here.

Confirmation Retreat: March 3rd - 5th, 2023
|
|
|
|
Save the date! We're kicking off our 2023 program season with our annual Confirmation Retreat, open to youth in grades 6 - 12 and their mentors. This retreat focuses on building strong bonds between youth and their mentors, as well as helping confirmands learn the tools they will need on a lifelong journey of faith. Pass It On. Like the beloved campfire song, we know that in order to pass on the magic of camp to the next generation, we need the support of friends of camp and previous generations who have been transformed by this ministry.

There are a number of ways to support our ministry, including: donations to our Scholarship and Annual Funds, volunteer opportunities, in-kind gifts through our Amazon Wish List, and more.
