October 27, 2014: Noëlle Santos was living her best life as an HR & accounting professional when a petition by Amelia Zaino and Jessica Cruz to save the borough's only bookstore finds her on Facebook. She signs it, gets some friends to sign it, and she doesn't feel better.
January 15, 2015 (MLK Day): The Lit. Bar becomes a legal entity.
April 11, 2015: Noëlle completes the week-long Owning a Bookstore course in Florida.
October 2015: Noëlle enters Citi Foundation's statewide business plan competition (10 months of competition hell). 🤦🏽‍♀️
2015-2016: Noëlle moonlights at bookstores across NYC for free in exchange for mentorship. Thank you indies! 📚
March 6, 2016: Noëlle launches the hybrid book club Readers & Shakers (now 900+ members).
September 2016: Noëlle smashes 358 start-up hopefuls in Citi Foundation's statewide business plan competition. Yerrr!
December 10, 2016: Noëlle uses the prize money for supplies and The Lit. Bar Pop-Up Shop is born at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. The Lit. Bar begins making waves in the media.
December 31, 2016: Barnes & Noble closes its doors leaving a community of 1.5 million people--in the literary capital of the world--without a bookstore. 😭
January 16, 2017 (MLK Day): Noëlle launches the crowdfunding campaign heard around the world called Let's Bring a Goddamn Bookstore to the Bronx. It goes on to bring in over $170,000. 💰
April 26, 2017: Crowdfund money is released and Noëlle enters real estate hell. 🤦🏽‍♀️
October 31, 2017: Noëlle finally finds a landlord who believes in her and signs a lease for The Lit. Bar's permanent home.
February 28, 2018: Noëlle's last day as a full-time HR & accounting professional.
March 26, 2018: The NYC Departments of This & That finally permit Noëlle to start building. 
The Rest of 2018: Construction and liquor licensing hell (we'll talk about it at the bar). 🤦🏽‍♀️
