"It's not what we say out loud that really determines our lives. It's what we whisper to ourselves that holds the most power."

― Robert T. Kiyosaki

Brought to you by "Sandra Crowe" Holistic Nutritionist

"You've trained hard, worked hard, and feel like you should reward yourself with a treat - like a brownie.  But you don't want your hard work to be ruined by a sugar-laden, carb loaded high calorie brownie.  The "Brownie Bites" are full of protein, fibre and omega 3's, and take only 10 minutes to make.  Warning - don't put them in the back pocket of your cycling jersey for a mid-ride snack though!  Or you will have a nice sticky (but tasty!) mess! "

It was a beautiful weekend for some outdoor training. I think I even saw a few crazy members lying in a pile of snow in their shorts and t-shirts after a run!!??? I guess they can now skip the ice bath.

    Muscle Up

Don't always want to workout alone? You're not the only one. I find the time can pass a whole lot quicker when you have a partner in crime. So wrangle up your partner and try this low back exercise.

Supermans with Alternating High Five - (Beginner)
  1. Lie facedown on the floor about a 2 feet from your partner, shoulders and elbows bent about 90 degrees, feet about hip-width apart. Your bodies should mirror each other’s. This will be your starting position.
  2. Contracting your lower back, glutes, and hamstrings, simultaneously raise your feet and upper torso off the floor, crossing one hand over to tap your partner's hand.
  3. Lower back down to the starting position using control so all limbs touch the floor and repeat to the opposite side. Make sure to keep your head neutral so that it's aligned with your torso throughout the set.

Looking for a local race? Look no further!

Run for hope is right here in our own back yard. With a choice of a 5k or 10k distance it's a great way to get in a pre season race. Ring up family and friends and register. First 400 entrants receive a FREE Shirt!

Look at these faces...all smiles having a whole lot of fun. This could be YOU on Sunday April 23rd.
