Christmas is a big deal at NYEP. Because many of our residents have never had a traditional Christmas with family gathered around the tree opening presents on Christmas morning, we want to provide that for them. A big part of what NYEP does is introducing positive traditions that our residents will want to continue with their families. It gives them something to strive for and look forward to when they are on their own. By purchasing a Christmas gift for an NYEP resident or graduate, you are helping them break the cycle of poverty in their lives and give them a sense of normalcy. NYEP residents feel loved when they open a gift that was chosen just for them, and love goes a long way.
