Fundraiser
The Guild of Harwich Artists recently partnered with The Harwich Fund in an 'Art for Good' fundraising event.  Members of the 42-year-old Guild donated art that was sold at discounted prices on Saturday, September 4th in Doane Park, Harwich Port. The Harwich Fund, a fund of The Cape Cod Foundation, is a permanent endowment focused on the needs of Harwich. Established last year, The Harwich Fund awarded almost $10,000 in grants including to the Friends of Monomoy Early Childhood Avisory Council, The Harwich Children's Fund, The Children's Center, Friends of Harwich Council on Aging. The event raised $1000 and resulted in many happy visitors heading home with orginal artwork purchased

In mid-August new Guild Members (joined since 2016) hosted a reception at the Cape Cod Community Media Center in South Dennis. The even provided a welcome opportunity to meet new members and learn more about their views of the Guild and its
future.
In August Guild artists painted in  the reclaimed junkyard behind George's Fish Market and they met the property owner. Painters included Mike Novik, Martha Kempe, Matt Connors and Michael.

In June, eleven members painted at Celine Federici's hydrangea forest of a yard overlooking a pond on a beautiful day.  This was followed by a lunch around the patio table where Celince graciously provided soup, tea and cookies. It was great to actually meet in person.
