Over the last month the team has been preparing for our upcoming season. As we always do, and especially because we have had many new members join this fall, we have had training sessions so new and returning students are trained on how to use our shop machinery safely.
We also were busy with fundraising research and activities, including our sponsorship presentations. We held a shop cleanup to organize and get ready for the Kickoff of our next challenge!
Our new FIRST Robotics Competition game is revealed on January 9th! The team attends the live kickoff event at Southern NH University and even gets to see the field first hand to help with our strategy. This kickoff begins the 6-week intense 'build season' where we strategize, design and construct our robot for our competitions.
After the kickoff we are off to the shop to review the game rules and start to play the game with humans as robots to help us imagine what the matches will be like so we can figure out our strategy. After this we all go off and research and think of our own ideas on strategy and design then regroup at our next meeting.
