This winter, our men and women are going to have a combined Winter Bible Study: The Apostles' Creed! This video based study will be taught by Matt Chandler, pastor of The Village Church in Flower Mound, TX.
The Apostles’ Creed was born from the apostles’ teachings. It contains essential doctrines and beliefs that summarize the gospel and the foundation of our faith. The scriptural truths contained in the creed enable us to build our Christian lives on good theology, with the knowledge that our faith is rooted in truth and a rich history.
This study will enrich your faith and help you grow in your understanding of the foundational teachings of Christianity. We have a limited number of the study books available FOR FREE! If you would like one, please email Dustin and let him know. All we ask is that if you get a book, you commit to going through the study with us!
The Winter Bible Study begins January 13th at 6:00PM.

Get ready for the GABCS Children's Ministry's Winter Retreat, January 22 & 23! The kids will have a blast learning about Jesus and having some fun together. THIS IS NOT AN OVERNIGHT EVENT. Parents are invited to stick around on Friday evening to participate, and then return on Saturday morning to drop the kids off for a day of activities. For more info, contact Michelle Clark.

Our youth continue their study through the Gospel of Luke in 2021. As always, they'll have some COVID-safe food served with a side of hanging out at 5:30, followed by worship and Bible study at 6:00. Get your 2021 started off right on January 13th as we get our Wednesdays going again!

Introducing Jackie LaRoy
Our New Administrative Assistant

We are very excited to introduce our new South Campus Administrative Assistant, Jackie LaRoy! Jackie began working at GABC Tyler in April 2017 in Human Resources and Payroll, and we are grateful that she is transitioning to the South Campus.
Jackie moved to East Texas from Dallas as a child. She graduated from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas and then transferred to the University of Texas at Tyler. Jackie has volunteered in the ministry most of her life. She started serving in her teenage years at Mission Arlington. In her college years she began teaching children’s Sunday School, teaching Awana’s programs, and served as VBS Director. As her boys got older she transitioned to serving as “Dorm Mom” for several church camps and various other youth activities. She has also volunteered with the Embrace Grace Program for expectant first time single moms and helped mentor the young girls.
She is married to the love of her life, Matt, and they have 3 boys: Christian, Hunter, and Andrew. Her family loves to do anything from board games to outdoor activities, and everything in between, as long as it includes music! Her boys are older and starting to venture out into the world. Jackie and Matt have taken this opportunity to experience new adventures together. They like taking road trips, checking out new hiking locations, canoeing, and most recently, they have started biking. Matt and Jackie have felt called to start welcoming foster children into their home to minister, serve, and love on them for as long as needed. They have recently completed all of the requirements to become certified foster parents. They are looking forward to this next chapter in their lives.

Last January, as we gathered together for our GABC Family Reunion at the Tyler Campus, Pastors David and Michael introduced us to our new vision statement: Transforming Lives with the Truth of Jesus. They also talked about the theme for 2020: Love ETX. 2020 decided to throw in it's own tweaks to the Love ETX theme, but GABC won't be stopped! Join us this Sunday as we continue our Love ETX theme into 2021!
