Hello, friends!

Many of us have spent the past eleven months learning and relearning how the broad world of content is what gives us the strength to get through tough times. I've certainly been reminded of it these past couple of weeks while I've clutched at the remote, flipping between Netflix and the news. Don't give up!

This week's double shot of content greatness comes to us from Steyer writer and project manager and Doppio editor, Chloe Olewitz. That's me! Enjoy:

Sometimes, content that could only have been made for a particular time also manages to transcend its circumstances. "Hot Vinyasa Flow for Crushing Self-Doubt" collects two poems by Dobby Gibson into a meditation on life right now. The truth is that I have no way of knowing whether or not they were written with "these times" in mind. All I know is that to me, both "Corpse Pose" and "Sun Salutation" speak to the bruised mess we find ourselves in, the struggle to make meaning out of any of it, and our desperate searching for something called hope.

Since the pandemic began, Penn & Teller: Fool Us has pivoted to filming in a covid bubble and without a live studio audience (I worked behind the scenes on season 7 of the show last year). The new format means many international magicians are now performing from their hometowns instead of traveling to Las Vegas, like this appearance by Malin Nilsson of Sweden. Nilsson's Fool Us performance is artistic and a little zany, and it will definitely bring some wonder into your week.

Foam from our last Doppio: "For The Sake Of Old Times" and Yuki Kawae's mesmerizing zen gardens.

Onward,
Team Steyer

Doppio is a weekly missive from Steyer Content, originated by Katelyn Reilly, Steyer's Chief Operating Officer. This cup brims forth with two concentrated shots of content greatness; we’ll never use it to sell you anything, including Steyer’s services. Doppio exists purely to connect content people with content, in a time when it’s incredibly easy to forget why we do what we do.
