This week's double shot of content greatness comes to us courtesy of Steyer marketing writer, Kathie Holsenbeck. She writes:
One of the fun things about being a seasoned—ahem, senior—copywriter from the Gen X crowd is keeping up with general language different from my own. Sure, there's Urban Dictionary for looking up slang like "fam," "yeet," and "vibe check," and my 11-year-old helps too. But as someone fascinated by observing generational iterations over the internet, I thought I'd delve into what Gens Y and Z are up to in the world of digital marketing. I found an interesting niche in the form of a blog called A Millennial's Diary, by Mary Agbesanwa. It's full of helpful advice for millennials and professionals of any age.
My second pick is a father-and-son team of Gen Z-whispering consultants. David and Jonah Stillman authored the book Gen Z @ Work, which lists 7 key traits of the generation including the fact that 92.6% of people in Gen Z say a company's impact on society affects their decision about whether or not to engage with it.
