SOURDOUGH BASICS - JUNE 11 AT 9 A.M.
Join us for a 90-minute workshop on how to make sourdough bread. Michael Pollan's Cooked series has revived the interest in sourdough bread and how it may be valuable to our understanding of the importance of fermenting our food. Step-by-step demonstration of making sourdough from flour, water and sourdough starter. ($10 fee / $5 for Friends of the Farm)
YOGURT MAKING - JUNE 18 AT 9 A.M.
Join us for a 90-minute workshop on how to make yogurt. Learn to make delicious yogurt with just milk and starter. ($10 fee / $5 for Friends of the Farm)

Or Dad or Grandma or Nanny....Come join our Farm Educator for a farm story, tour of the farm and a small craft or activity. Meet the chickens, pigs and come explore our learning gardens. This class is suitable for pre-school aged children who are accompanied by a guardian.
Volunteer Days are up and running. Please arrive early for your first visit, as we start promptly. Come prepared to have fun and work hard. Bring a bottle of water, sunscreen and a hat. A sense of humor is a good idea too. Please come join us to help out at the farm on the following days in June:

Farm to Community Happenings
Blue Barn Farm Share Program
Norwell Farms is proud to be a participating farm with the Blue Barn Farm Share Program. Their mission is to provide families with no fee, farm food while providing local farms market rate compensation for the food they grow. They are looking for eligible families. Please contact them if you or someone you know could benefit from their mission.
Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore
Norwell Farm continued our work with the Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore. We worked with the residents to plant tomatoes, peppers, onions, basil, parsley and broccoli their raised-bed vegetable gardens. We will continue to work with them throughout the growing season to add more vegetables as ones are harvested.
