Farm Days: Kids have been coming to the farm each week for our Farm Days and they have been learning hands on how we farm and care for our livestock. The lucky ducks also got to take some seedlings and produce home to garden and cook at home!
Fundraising Update: Preparations are well underway for the 3th Annual Farm to Fork event on Friday, September 16th. Read on and Save the Date! for our biggest fundraiser of the year. Buy a ticket to this amazing evening and support Norwell Farms!
Lastly, keep an eye out in your mail for the Norwell Farms mailer that went out town-wide last week. This is part of our annual Friends of the Farm campaign. We need your support to continue our mission to grow our community farm and teach the community about sustainable, local agriculture. Thank you for your support of Norwell Farms, we couldn't do it without your help.

June Farm Days Kids:
Learning about local, sustainable food.
More Farm Days sessions available in July!
Kids in June Farm Days picked strawberries, learned how to make a frittata and salad (and took recipes and ingredients home to make them for their parents!), learned about honeybees and chickens, planted vegetables, played games and so much more!
July sessions will be just as fun and educational. Raspberries will be ripe, the pigs will be at the farm, the fields will be bountiful and the chickens always love visitors. We are lucky to have a working farm in the area where kids can learn about local, sustainable agriculture.

We hosted field trips for Vinal School, Cole School and the South Shore Science Center in June. Thank you to the schools and teachers for bringing your students to learn about local farming and food systems. We loved hosting the children.
The Cole School Kindergarteners declared their trip to Norwell Farms "the best field trip of the year" and sent us these wonderful paintings of their day.
