Urgent Treatment Centres: Our five Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) in Derby and Derbyshire are open every day, 8.00am – 8.00pm, including bank holidays. Call 111 and you'll be guided to the best place for your illness or injury. If the UTC is the appropriate place for treatment, you will be booked a same-day appointment. Find your nearest UTC here.

Christian support group: Connecting via WhatsApp, email and a weekly Tuesday meeting (8.00am - 8.30am). Contact Helen Foley to join. 

Are you suicide aware? Our facilitator Wendy Hodgkinson has been raising awareness on suicide prevention and has presented at our preceptorship forums. The DCHS Suicide Prevention and Awareness Group (SPAG) is encouraging all staff to complete the training if they haven’t already done so.

Domestic abuse awareness/refresher training sessions: The Elm Foundation is running these sessions again through April and May. You can see the upcoming dates here.

SIREN study: One day left to volunteer! Enrolment closes on 30 March for any NHS staff who want to help the SIREN study’s research into Covid-19. We have two places left for DCHS staff – could you take part? Details on this poster.

New career development tool for Allied Health Professions: This new resource sets out the four pillars of advanced clinical practice, to support coaching conversations and career development, and helps individuals measure progress and take action to develop. 

New Derbyshire DadPad app: Our children’s services team are excited to announce the launch of the Derbyshire DadPad app on Tuesday 30 March, which aims to help dads to be prepared for parenthood – anything from antenatal care to home safety.

Changes to Datix: Pressure ulcers and non-pressure wounds need to be reported in a new way. See the update here.

Nursing Minds wellbeing toolkit launched: Nurses now have easy free access to the newly- launched Nursing Minds toolkit, funded by Burdett. It is a compilation of links to sources of help, advice and support to help nurses boost their mental health and wellbeing. For more details please see here.

Theresa Ross has just received her 30 year long service award. Theresa works in the Derwent Valley district nursing team in Derby City. She is an real asset to the team, always going the extra mile and is just a lovely person!
