Good Morning
It's gonna be a busy month.
I hope everyone is still doing well and continues to stay that way. We have all kinds of events in October and a virtual component to them all. And as many of you know, the EFMLS currently has a licensed Zoom account.
Which brings me to this morning's message. We will be hosting the Annual Meeting of the Southeast Federation of Mineralogical Societies (SFMS) on the morning of October 17. Not physically but virtually on Zoom. This decision, or actually this offer I made to them, was a no-brainer.
Many of you know that I have given the SFMS my appreciation for all of the things they have done for the EFMLS over the past year. The biggest of course is the Eastern Field Trip Alliance, the Eastern version of the Southeast Federation's Dixie Mineral Council field trip sharing program. Recently, I was given an opportunity to show this appreciation instead of just with words by having Eastern's Zoom account host their virtual annual meeting.
We have the ability to assist them with a need they have, so why wouldn't we?
The Southeast Federation was scheduled to host not only their Annual Meeting and Convention but also the American Federation's in Knoxville, TN, the weekend of October 16 - 18. Both of these Meetings and Conventions are being held virtually with no physical component.
