EFMLS Board of Directors Meeting for the
2020 Proposed Amended Bylaws
Calling all Board of Directors!
Only 1 vote is allowed per member of the Board of Directors. Per the current 2016 Bylaws, the EFMLS Board of Directors is composed of each Society President (President Director) and the EFMLS Executive Board. Also, please know that any member of any EFMLS Affiliate Society may attend any official meeting.
This meeting is allowed by the State of New York (the EFMLS State of Incorporation) to be conducted virtually.
Dear Members of the Eastern Federation,
After 3 open discussions (via zoom) over the past 6 weeks to listen and take your input of comments, suggestions and concerns, we have put together the following documents for your review at EFMLS.org/bylaws.
- EFMLS Proposed Bylaws Amendments revised with Legal Counsel
We have also emailed the above documents to the EFMLS Board of Directors.
As we have attempted during this entire process, we ask for your feedback once more if you wish to comment before we hold the Board of Directors Meeting to ratify the proposed amended bylaws on Wednesday, October 21st. Per NY State legal counsel: the amendment process may continue up to the day of meeting to vote. As a courtesy to the Committee, we ask that you submit any feedback up until 24 hours before the meeting.
(cut-off: Tuesday, 10/20 at 7:00 pm for feedback) AND pleaase join the 10/21 Meeting a few minutes before the start time.

On August 22, 2020, the EFMLS Bylaws Committee submitted to the EFMLS Board of Directors the Proposed Amendments for the 60 day review period in accordance with current EFMLS Bylaws of 2016.
