and the group buys to get in on.

Welcome to the first GroupGets newsletter of 2016! We had a very exciting 2015 so we’re geared up and ready for the new year. Below are new products we’ve put together and some of our favorites. Plus, highlights from CES in Las Vegas and new partnerships.

GOOD GETS

A GroupGets customer created the DIY-Thermocam, an open-source, do-it-yourself thermographic camera for everyone. An easy to assemble kit with almost one-hundred components, the DIY-Thermocam allows you to take advantage of the versatile possibilities of thermal imaging. Read more about it below.

After selling out fast, we now have more of the next generation FLIR Lepton development platform in stock! The GGLabs Pure Thermal FLIR Lepton Dev Kit v1.1 is a standalone development platform including on-board STM32 ARM processor, digital video output over USB, and analog video output port. This product is only available at GroupGets.

GroupGets Labs designed a custom PCB board just for the Nichia NVSU233A U365 High Power UV-LED. It's made to fit in 16mm flashlight housings, and also includes a High Power UV-LED already soldered to the board.

GROUP UPDATES

The GroupGets team attended the annual international Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. For us, the major highlights were connecting with Pine64, TrackR, and Keyport.

We were also pleased to meet one of the co-founders of Pine64, Johnson Jeng. Pine64 is a $15 64-bit single board computer that is optimized for Linux or Android. Their Pine64 Kickstarter is currently over $1M and ends it just a few days. We got to take one home and assure you that it works! We're currently working on porting our custom FLIR Lepton modules to the platform among other things to be announced later. Check out more awesome finds and CES connections on the GroupGets Blog.

One of our customers, Max Ritter from Germany, put together an open-source do-it-yourself thermographic camera. The DIY-Thermocam is centered around the FLIR Lepton module and the custom breakout board created by GroupGets.  The firmware is Arduino compatible C++ and can be used as is or modified for your own needs. Read more about it on the GroupGets Blog

The 50° shuttered FLIR Lepton Thermal Imager only needs one more backer to make the group buy campaign successful. Join now and have your product shipped within 5 days!
