Weeks 37 – 38

"Checklist Manifesto" by Atul Gawande

Have you ever wondered how people were able to fly to the Moon and back when there were no smartphones or personal computers? One secret to the Apollo mission success is their devotion to the operational checklists.

And while you may not be dealing with moonshots everyday, checklists can help you avoid mistakes and bring some order to your everyday life. Atul Gawande is a surgeon who improved intensive care by introducing, you guessed it, checklists. We'll follow his experience to see how can we improve the areas we care about the most.

Just 18 pages (or 27 minutes for an audiobook) a day to finish it in 2 weeks 🙌

Weeks 39 – 40

"Mastery" by Robert Greene

Getting a bit better every day would eventually lead to mastery. This book focuses on lives of different people whom we all consider to be masters of their trade. Mozart, Einstein, Darwin, Ford, as well as contemporary ones such as Paul Graham. When writing earlier books, the author realized a lot of people had a similar path to success which is a topic of this book.

We've read Robert Greene's "48 Laws of Power" last year and it was a book that a lot of us enjoyed.

Just 26 pages (or 1 hour and 10 minutes for an audiobook) a day to finish it in 2 weeks 🙌
