Book 35 — Antifragile

Book Club Updates

As you probably know, Bit Better Book Club is based on recommendations from inspiring figures. Founders, makers, trailblazers, executives. Each book is accompanied by a list of people who suggested it as a worthy read.

Until recently, the list was limited to three. This was to prevent clutter in the book browser. Since last week, you can now see a list of all the people who recommended a given book. This is available when you select a detailed view of the book.

For example, let's take a look at our most popular book in the Wellbeing category, "Influence" by Robert B. Cialdini. When you select it, you'll see all of the inspiring figures that recommended that book. Oh, by the way, "Influence" Is also our most popular book overall!

This week we're also holding an online meetup to talk about "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert M Pirsig.

Weeks 17 – 18

"Antifragile" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

A continuation to "The Black Swan" that we've covered last year, this book explains how to benefit from chaos and disruption. The world as we know it is changing and it's better to adapt to the change than to hope it won't happen.

Weeks 19 – 20

"Homo Deus" by Yuval Noah Harari

"Sapiens" that we read last year was among the best-received books in this Book Club. A few of you were so eager after reading it as to start "Homo Deus" right after. Now, there's a chance for the rest of the members to catch up on this title.

We have already learned our past from "Sapiens." The current title, "Homo Deus", describes the possible future that awaits us. Unlike "Who Owns the Future?" which focused on social and economic aspects, "Homo Deus" touches on topics as emotions, consciousness, happiness, and immortality.

Do you have a recommendation for a book or a person we should add? Give us a shout in the forum:
