Weeks 41 – 42

"Mindset" by Carol S. Dweck

This one has been recommended by both Bill Gates and Satya Nadella, the past and current CEOs of Microsoft. It's also on the Pete Codes' list, an indie maker and author of No CS Degree.

Have you heard the terms fixed mindset and growth mindset? If you're in this book club you probably have. People with a fixed mindset believe that their abilities are fixed. Those with a growth mindset believe that abilities can be developed. The author realized that the success in many areas of life are more likely to happen to people with growth mindset rather than fixed.

Curious to learn more about the way our beliefs influence our well-being? Grab the book and share your observations with us!

Just 23 pages (or 45 minutes for an audiobook) a day to finish it in 2 weeks 🙌

Weeks 43 – 44

"A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson

Don't get fooled by the title! This book still requires dedicating some time to finish it on time!

There are lots of history books that try to explain the events from our past. Bill Bryson's book is one of the most accessible and appealing of them all. "Sapiens" introduced us to the history of mankind and our closest ancestors. This book starts earlier and explains such topics as the size of the universe, the atoms, and the particles.

"A Short History of Nearly Everything" was recommended by Heather Wilde and Derek Sievers. It has won two prizes for scientific books. Let's see what we can learn from it!

Just 40 pages (or 1 hour and 22 minutes for an audiobook) a day to finish it in 2 weeks 🙌
