Gallery 501 Salon Series Exhibition

I'll have 2 hand-carved and painted pieces in the The Strathcona Salon Series Acquisitions & Loans exhibition (Victoria and Adeline). This beautiful show features so many of Strathcona County’s talented local artists and their original works. The gallery@501 art exhibit opens to the public on Friday, May 15, 2015 and the Unveiling Reception will be on Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. The gallery is located at 501 Festival Avenue, Sherwood Park, AB.

Live Painting at Zoo Fest

Come out to the Edmonton Valley Zoo for a fantastic evening on Saturday, June 20, 2015 (from 6-11pm). Experience behind the scenes zoo magic and see me painting the resident zebra's live! The piece will be auctioned off at 9pm so feel free to chat with me while I paint. Adults can sip wine and sample Edmonton's finest cuisine while children can explore the Kid's Zone and meet some of the animals. Proceeds of the painting and other auction items will be shared between the Valley Zoo Development Society and Zebra Child Protection Centre. Purchase tickets to the event here.

What's on the desk?

There are quite a few commissions on the go at the moment, a landscape painting of Moraine Lake, and a coloring book project for grown-ups - still in the early stages. I'm gearing up for another year at the Whyte Avenue Artwalk (July 10-12). There will be many new originals including tea-sets, wood carvings, paintings and prints to purchase. At the Make It Show this spring, many of you expressed interest in more hand-carved tea sets so I'll be creating a bunch of new ones very soon!

Currently for sale:
Nacho, 8x10" is $160
Coffee & Kiwi, 8x10" is $160
Bluebird and Cupcakes Tea Set, 6x7" Pair is $150
Retro Teapot, 6x7" is $70
They are all hand carved on a pine panel, painted in acrylics and are varnished with a UVLS protectant varnish in either a matte or gloss. They come ready to hang. Pick-up in Sherwood Park or at Pixel Blue College. Email for pick-up or shipping options or wait to see them in person at the Artwalk, July 10-12):
