OYA is seeking a Finance Consultant! 
OYA—pronounced “Oi - yá”—is a technically advanced athleisure brand that is obsessed with feminine health. OYA aims to create stigma free, apparel solutions to the feminine health issues that postpartum women, women athletes, and perimenopausal women face daily. We seek a Finance Consultant to execute financial forecasting, modeling and tax preparation activities in partnership with the CEO. The consultant will aggregate launch sales and P&L data to update current financial statements and support business planning and tax filing. Project deliverables will help OYA raise a pre-seed round, help OYA’s investors conduct due diligence, and help OYA prepare our 2020 taxes. Project will last 40-50 hours across three weeks and pay is $20/hour or negotiable upon experience. Desired skills/experience include: BA in business-related field with emphasis in finance or accounting, MBA and/or CPA are a plus; 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial/planning, and/or budgeting/forecasting; Outstanding analytical skills along with the strong ability to convert data/information into comprehensive insights and storytelling, including visual representation of data; Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a proven track record to prioritize multiple/challenging priorities; Experience working for an apparel or CPG company and/or raising a round is a plus. Women's Business Enterprise National Council's Collegiate Accelerator
Accelerator for female entrepreneurs with the opportunity to win a $5K grant
About: Aspiring collegiate female entrepreneurs (or recent graduates) accepted into the WBENC Collegiate Accelerator will learn to grow and scale their businesses through tailored entrepreneurship curriculum focused on the fundaments of growth, access to capital, marketing, business strategy, and leadership. UCLA alumni Jason Alvarez-Cohen's company Popl tops $2.7M in sales for its technology that replaces business cards
If you’ve spent any time on TikTok lately, then you might've seen a number of Popl’s ads. The startup has been successfully leveraging social media to get its modern-day business card alternative in front of a wider audience. Popl co-founder and CEO Jason Alvarez-Cohen, a UCLA grad with a background in computer science, first realized the potential for NFC business cards through a different use case — a device he encountered in someone’s home while attending a party. But it sparked the idea to use NFC technology for sharing information person-to-person, which would be faster than alternatives, like AirDrop or manual entry. And so, Popl was born. Read more here
