Nucleate Bio Info Session
What: Nonprofit student-led bio entrepreneurship program that facilitates the formation of life science ventures
About: Nucleate Bio connects early-career scientists (PhDs, postdocs & research scientists) with business students and provides them with a structured educational framework and one-on-one mentorship that leverages our world-class network & resources. Participants will meet potential co-founders, pitch their ideas to industry experts and venture capital funds, and gain opportunities for non-dilutive funding & perks. They are holding an info session for others to meet the Nucleate Bio team, learn more about the program, and prepare for the application process.

GSV Startup Bootcamp III
What: 7-week sprint to build confidence, capabilities, connections, and courage
About: This 7-week bootcamp (July 12-August 27) for aspiring entrepreneurs will allow you to hear from world-class speakers, learn about real-world case studies, and conceptualize your startup. Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch their startup at the end of the bootcamp.

WeTHRIVE Summer 2021 Cohort
What: 8-week program for women business leaders
About: WeTHRIVE was designed to help WBEs survive the uncertainty of today and grow and thrive for the future. As part of this program, WBEs will attend virtual learning sessions with their track across five disciplines (Leadership & Communication, Financial Management, Business Strategy, Operations & Human Resources, and Marketing & Sales). WBEs should plan to commit about 3 to 4 hours per week to participate in weekly two-hour courses from leading instructors and 3 to 4 peer group sessions to network, collaborate, and connect with WBE peers.

VentureWell E-Team Grant Program
What: Supports dedicated science- and engineering-based student teams from across the nation in bringing their high-impact innovation out of the lab and into the market
About: The program is seeking early-stage student teams who are on the path to launching science and tech innovations with a positive social, health, or environmental impact. Selected teams can unlock up to $25,000 in grant funding, along with sponsored entry into their Early-Stage Innovator Training Program.

SEED Lab Pre-Accelerator
What: 8-month pre-accelerator for early-stage social entrepreneurs
About: SEED Lab is an 8-month pre-accelerator for early-stage social entrepreneurs. Developed in partnership with the University of California Riverside Extension, it aims to tap the deep reservoir of unrecognized talent within marginalized and under-served communities and support their efforts to identify and develop pioneering paths out of inherited problems that have buried and muffled those voices. The program is designed to support the implementation of visionary ideas into similarly powerful tools to generate social impact, deepen civic engagement, and bring about empowerment and sustainable change.

SCALE Fall 2021 Cohort
What: 13-week program for early-stage aerospace startups
About: SCALE is designed to inspire a generation of students, entrepreneurs, and investors to pursue entrepreneurship for the development and advancement of novel technologies with aerospace applications and to build businesses here in Los Angeles. Each team selected for the program will receive personalized instruction and engage with potential corporate clients and investors. The program is designed to help teams set milestones, develop products, find the market fit and get customer traction, and secure the next round of funding.

ASPIRE Program
What: Intensive 7-week program that prepares startups for the investments and partnerships necessary to launch their venture
About: They are seeking seed-stage medtech companies to help pinpoint fundraising needs and develop the deal room materials needed to back up their ask. During this 7-week virtualized program, teams will spend one-on-one time with mentors-in-residence, including VentureWell staff and active investors, as they prepare for investment conversations.
