ICA Council on Upper Cervical Care Held 1st Annual Symposium in San Diego
Our inaugural Upper Cervical Council Symposium – Advances in Spinal Care – is complete. It was a great success from the feedback that we received from those who attended.
The venue, speakers, awards dinner, and fellowship made for a great conference. There is something valuable about being at the conference in person as opposed to trying to learn the information sitting at your computer or watching a video. We plan on growing this conference and improving on what we have started.
The conference committee will be meeting in the near future to plan the next symposium and we are accepting feedback from council members.
A big thanks to Dr. Tom Forrest for being the guest speaker at the awards banquet, fantastic job!
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE COUNCIL?
Is working with Sherman College of Chiropractic to create 2 1-hour Upper Cervical Rationale Courses that will be offered as online CE courses for Doctors in the field and students.
The Clinical Rounds presentations continue for Upper Cervical Council members. These are small group formats with live patient experiences.
All Upper Cervical Council members are encouraged to come.
Are you a Member of the ICA Council on Upper Cervical Care yet?
If you are committed to the development of the Upper Cervical profession the Upper Cervical Council provides you with an opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way.
In the last 5 years, the UC council has graduated it's first class of upper cervical diplomates and enrolled a second class, published a research paper in the Journal of Canadian Chiropractic Assoc. added upper cervical specific questions to the National Board Exams, and connected in a significant way with four North American chiropractic schools to help support upper cervical education in the classroom.
These projects are just the start, and if you feel passionate about upper cervical care and it's continued success in chiropractic and in health care this is how you can contribute.
