Tracking the S80's....

S80 & Diamonds are being tracked!
Over the last races of the Brass Monkeys races, the S80s and Diamonds have and will have GPS trackers on board. This allows a full replay of the race – how did the tactics play out, where were the wind shifts, who is faster and/or higher – all is revealed.
If you want to see how this works, there is a link on the Brass Monkey results page.

HBYC Junior Fleet - Starting in October...

Calling all kids 7yo and up....
Junior Fleet is starting in October, this year we will be conducting Junior Fleet from October to Easter (not inc. January).  Our Fleet consists of 6 Pacers and 2 International Cadets, with 2 more on the way, this year there is no waiting list, so...
We are asking all members to speak to their kids, grand kids, nieces, nephews etc about participating this summer.  We will be hiring an Instructor to run the sessions following the Yachting Australia curriculum for Dinghy Sailing.

Don't worry there will, of course, be plenty of 'mucking about in boats'!

Please let me know if you have kids who are interested or if you can help out in anyway. We will still need many volunteers to help out with safety boats, feeding the kids, launching and rigging the boats (with the kids) etc.  Please contact: JuniorFleet@hbyc.org.au

Start Sailing 1 - Your Discover Sailing journey starts here as you learn the fundamental skills of sailing and are introduced to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment.
Start Sailing 2 - Your Discover Sailing journey continues as you master all of the fundamental dinghy sailing skills. You are now equipped to sail your dinghy on your own voyages of discovery
Better Sailing - Discover Sailing in stronger winds as you develop the skills required to get maximum speed from your dinghy. Your journey speeds up as you experience the thrill of trapezing and using a spinnaker.
