Beyond the Bay Road Show - Tonight - 7-9pm

Beyond the Bay program is running an information session where Robert Bradley (Skipper of "Escapade" the Osaka Cup holder) Matt Fahey (long time ocean racer) will explain where the ORCV fits in to the Victoria sailing scene and how they can help you "Live the Dream". Robert, as an avowed "cruiser", will happily explain how he combines leisurely cruising with ocean racing. Matt will provide a slightly different perspective for those who may not have their own boat to take into Bass Strait but would like to be part of the crew on some sailing "beyond the bay".
Bar will not be open, please BYO food and drinks.

HBYC Shirley Freeman Memorial/Lady Skippers/Senorita Cup - Will be rerun on Sunday 17th May…

Div 1 - Race 4 PPWCS 11am. Lady Skippers Trophy - 1st HBYC PHS Boat. Shirley Freeman Memorial Trophy - 1st PHS Boat.

Div 2 - Senorita Cup, Non Spinnaker Race 11:10am.
This race is aimed to encourage those Lady Skippers to sail in a race with a less competitive format. We encourage all our ladies to have a go, even if you are new to helming.
Boats owners are asked to encourage our female members, friends and family to take up the helm for the day and join in the fun of the Senorita Cup. There is a Trophy and prize awarded on the day.

ORCV is once again running its double handed race on May 3, starting at 1000 hrs off Royal Brighton Yacht Club.

David Judge's tales of the Tall Ships - Friday 15th May

The HBYC Cruising Group, this month presents.....
Past Commodore of HBYC, David Judge, speaks on his Tales on Tall Ships ... possibly more riveting than Jack Sparrows of “Pirates of the Caribbean”! … See David in his true ‘Pirate’ form, like you've never seen him before. BLiSS Regatta (23/24 MAY) and Training Opportunities (26/4 & 3/5)…..

The BLiSS 2015 Regatta that is taking place on the weekend of 23 and 24 May 2015 at RBYC.
In addition to the event, they are also offering women the opportunity to participate in two training days prior to the event on 26 April and 3 May which are being presented and run by Gavin Dagley. Women can take advantage of our Early Bird special entry prices which will provide a variety of packages involving training and participation in the event.
