Single-Use Pumps Maximize Purity,
Prevent Particle Generation

Quattroflow™   Single-Use Quaternary Diaphragm Pump Enhances Production Process And Increases Speed-To-Market

VIDEO: Learn How Quattroflow™ Quaternary Diaphragm Pumps Work
Non-sterile processes are the greatest threat to the productivity and profitability of biopharmaceutical production. Pump technology not only plays a key role in preserving high-purity product quality, but also can have a significant impact on the end result. Particle generation, which often occurs when peristaltic (hose) pumps are used, can contaminate the pumped liquid and end product.
Quattroflow™ Single-Use Quaternary Diaphragm Pumps have been proven to limit particle generation, promoting a sterile, efficient production process.
Third-party side-by-side comparisons tested the Quattroflow™ QF150SU and a peristaltic pump using a pharma-grade pumping hose to calculate the amount of particle generation created by each pump. The test – which included 8 hours of continuous recirculation through 12μm filter at approximately 100 l/h – yielded the following results:
The peristaltic pump produced 2 Mio particles, sizes between 6.1 and 12.7μm.
The Quattroflow™ pump did not
produce any identifiable particles
