Welcome to the first European Emergency Medical Congress in Copenhagen 2016
We are honored to welcome you to the very first congress of European Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The 3-day congress will take place 30 May – 1 June 2016 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ambitions - Brand Position Paper
It is our ambition to make the EMS2016 in Copenhagen a different and innovative congress. We want the congress to contribute to the international exchange of experience and development of new standards for emergency medical services and pre-hospital care. The congress should also be a catalyst for future research, education and product development, helping existing knowledge in the area to become more widespread and hence implemented, thus resulting in better treatment for the patients.

Important dates and times

Precources
Prior to the congress you will be able to attend a number of different precourses, among other a European Trauma Course - The Team Approach. Read more about our precourses here:

Target audience
The target audience of the congress is researchers and of course pre-hospital and emergency health care professionals such as paramedics, emergency medical technicians, dispatchers, nurses, emergency physicians, medical directors etc.

Venue
The EMS2016 will be held at the new Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre. The Congress Centre is built in cooperation with the famous Tivoli Gardens, and the rooms are created with inspiration from the Tivoli Theme.

Scientific programme
The programme will, among other, include topics focusing on organizing EMS and the challenges of the EMS providers, topics that focus on specific patient groups and topics that looks forward into the future of EMS.
We want your contribution to the final program. Therefore please propose speakers, topics, sessions, workshop and anything else that you may have in mind.
A preliminary programme will published shortly, but on our webpage you will find a list of some of the topics to be included.

Scientific Committee
We have put together a scientific committee consisting of professionals with great knowledge about EMS coming from all over the world.
The Scientific Committee is chaired by congress chair Dr. Freddy Lippert CEO of the Emergency Medical Services Copenhagen and co-chaired by chair of the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch, Jerry Overton and CEO of London Ambulance Service Fiona Moore.
