EMS Championship - Let the games begin

During the European EMS2016 Congress you will we be able to challenge yourself and your team of EMS colleagues during the competition European EMS Championship. Registration for the championship is now open. The number of competing teams will be limited to only 16 teams due to logistics.

EMS Championship will be a fun, challenging and educational experience for emergency medical personnel. The competition will be all about team work, skills, experience and the ability to find a solution when challenged.

The European EMS Championship is organized by Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES), previously called Danish Institute of Medical Simulation, and EMS Copenhagen and supported by Laerdal Medical and Falck Emergency.

Call for Congress Workshops

Share your knowledge!

We invite participants to propose and organize workshops at the 1st European Emergency Medical Services Congress, EMS2016 in Copenhagen.

Participants interested in proposing and organizing a workshop is invited to submit an outline.

The submission will close on the 8th January 2016.

Call for Abstracts

It is now possible to submit abstracts for presentation at EMS2016.

All accepted abstracts will be presented as a poster and published in the Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine (SJTREM).

The best abstracts will be honoured and awarded. Furthermore the best abstract will receive the Sophus Falck abstract award of 3000 Euro.

The Scientific Program at EMS2016 - From Science to Survival

The EMS2016 Scientific Committee has, with your help, created a program that will inspire, encourage and provide participants with new and updated knowledge.

The program will place strong emphasis on our shared challenges in emergency care, the sessions will focus on research and clinical practice and the speakers are leading profiles within their field. Furthermore the program will set the scene for networking between all European EMS providers, reseacerhs and exhibitors.

In all our sessions you will meet experts within their field. We are especially proud that Professor Douglas Chamberlain has accepted to be a keynote speaker at the EMS2016 opening ceremony. Douglas Chamberlain is a world famous British cardiologist who founded the first paramedic unit in Europe. He is well known for his strong impact and contribution to the EMS-world.
