Can Codes FAQ

Resource Center:

Help! How do we read these can codes?

With the safety of our food at the forefront of conversations these days, we wanted to call your attention to a new FAQ page on Mealtime.org.

One of the most frequently asked questions that comes through our website is, “What are all of these codes on the bottom of my can.” While there is not one simple answer, we’ve updated the can codes section with some new information we thought you might find helpful.

“Rest assured, there is no time in the history of food production that your food is safer than today. These codes provide the means to track and continually provide improvements so the industry can deliver the freshest and safest food products in the world. You CAN trust in the Canning Industry!”

Check out the new can codes section and FAQ’s here, at Mealtime.org.
