What Works Best For Your Application? Adhesive or Plain Sheet Wax?

It all comes down to ash content.

Adhesive Sheet Wax is used in applications such as RTM or Surface Casting where the sheet wax needs to stay in place while creating the mold.

Plain Sheet Wax has lower ash content. This was specifically designed for use in investment casting where the wax is melted out. Ash causes defects in castings – less ash, less defects.
