Nate Conner, President of Ameritek Inc., North Carolina’s premier rotary diemaker, spoke about this back in 2015. He said “after extensive testing that showed an increase in strength over the board we were using we made the decision to switch our rotary tooling to new tougher Ash dieboard”.   

Ameritek was the first to test the new Ash dieboard in 2013 because Hard White Ash is well known for higher shock-resistance. “Since switching to Ash rotary, our customer’s repairs to their long-run rotary tooling are down four-fold.”
