Warm Autumn Blessings!

Autumn has arrived in my little corner of the world. The days are shorter, the evenings are cooler and I find myself reaching for socks and shoes, blankets and shawls, and soups and stews. And I welcome these reaches.

If there's one thing I love about living in New England it's the seasonal shifts.

Like spring, autumn expresses with drama. It's a rare flavor of drama that I actually savor. As we sit on the cusp of October's entry I observe my landscape and ponder the transformation to which I'll be witness in the coming weeks. I ponder... and I anticipate the coming of the skeleton trees, the rustling forest floors, and so much more, but not before the colorful creative expression that Nature paints on our world's canvas.

October is my personal month for Diving Deep, deep into reflection and projection, all the while keeping my roots in the eternal Present. In other words, I look back over the past year, look ahead to the year to come, and glean from these Musings some value that I may apply to today, or to some other present moment. Know what I mean?

It is how Nature transforms and makes manifest in October's autumn that sings to the Mystery of Life, the spiral that has no beginning, no ending.

And so it is a month that I pull back, recede, and shift my energies... inward, toward my own Mysteries. Often as I frantically manage the last of the harvests that nourish me through the months ahead. Holistically. ::nods::

May you engage the Mystery that October offers. May you observe the drama and beauty. May you honor Change.
