Guest Authors

I had a couple of my favourite authors on my blog this year.
Alexandra Sokoloff talked about her latest thriller,
'Huntress Moon'. A haunted FBI agent is on an interstate manhunt for a mysterious woman who may be a serial killer.
Rowena Holloway revealed the idea behind her story of family secrets set in Positano, Italy
'All That's Left Unsaid'.
Festival Fleurieu

In April I joined six other amazing South Australian women at the Links Lady Bay Resort in Normanville, as part of the Festival Fleurie. We each shared personal stories about how our philosophies have been shaped by the events/people in our lives. It was a real honour to share the stage with such incredible and courageous women. Crime Fest Weekend

What better way to keep warm on a dreary June weekend than to head to the South Australian Writer's Centre with a bunch of other writers who like to kill characters in horrible ways? Various panels and workshops were presented by leading crime writers, and we even had a murder mystery dinner.
Tribe FM Radio

In July I was interviewed with my Suspense Sister, Rowena Holloway. It was fantastic chatting to Becky and Eileena on The Write Show.
Book Signing

Also in July the Suspense Sisters hit Castle Plaza Shopping Centre at Edwardstown to sign books at Collins Bookshop.
Lions Club Author Talk

I was honoured to entertain the
Lions Club of Edwardstown in October, with stories of the people who have inspired me to succeed in life and especially on my literary journey. Like my dad, who taught me I could do anything I put my mind to, if I persisted. And my father-in-law who fought a brave against Leukaemia contracted during the Maralinga nuclear bomb tests.
Hamra Centre Library

In August the Suspense Sisters enjoyed a warm reception at the Hamra Centre Library, West Torrens. The lovely Hannah provided lots of comfy chairs for the audience to lounge in and a yummy afternoon tea to enjoy while we were signing books.
Romance Writers of Australia Conference

This annual event is a loud, busy, fun-filled weekend with hundreds of other romance writing enthusiasts. I attended all sorts of interesting workshop, met loads of wonderful new and old friends, and even had my 'first book sale' ribbon presented by Graeme
Samson of 'The Rosie Project' fame.
Payneham Library Author Talk

I had a fabulous evening in November, at the Payneham Library in November, with my Suspense Sister, Rowena Holloway.

The library provided a delicious cheese platter for supper, accompanied by local Wirra Wirra wines. We had an enthusiastic audience who listened intently to the stories of our writing journeys, and quizzed us about our inspirations and characters.

Hatching Stories

I founded the Novelist's Circle critiquing group 5 years ago.
I'm very proud to have started something that has touched so many lives, and helped so many budding authors. The group celebrated this milestone with a public event called 'Hatching Stories'. Read more about this event here...
