I do sometimes wonder if I'm on any FBI watch lists.
Bundle Bargain

'The Boys in Blue' bundle contains 10 cop romances from sweet to saucy.

It's an absolute bargain from Amazon.com
RITA Award

I had the great honour of judging the first round of the prestigious RITA Award for the Romance Writers of America recently.

This award recognises outstanding published romance novels and novellas, and is named for the RWA's first president, Rita Clay Estrada.

There were some fantastic entries, and I'm keeping my eye on the romantic suspense shortlist. The winner will be announced soon!
Cove Civic Centre
The Suspense Sisters (that's Rowena Holloway and I) presented to a packed room at the Cove Civic Centre library last month, where we shared information about about our writing journeys and inspirations for our books.

Read a review of the books I've enjoyed here...
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion is a thoroughly enjoyable rip-snorting read. It made me giggle and ponder and cry at the end. It's a fascinating study in square pegs trying to fit into round holes, and a topic particularly close to my heart, which is the idiosyncrasies, practicalities and depth of those on the autism spectrum.

This story touched me deeply and tickled my funny bone, I can't urge you to read it strongly enough.
Chasing the Runaway Bride by Susan Meier.

When Cade Donovan wanders back into his hometown for the reading of his grandfather's will, he doesn't expect to receive a windfall, or for it to tie him to his family's enemy.

But the bane of his existence is also sexy and kind and determined. She chips away at his resolve and their partnership  gradually melts loyalties on each side of the Donovan-O'Reily family feud.
Once Upon a Power Play by Jennifer Bonds.

This story was lots of fun, and I'm rather partial to a strong-minded woman. It had an action-packed opening and the relationship was suitably awkward and unwanted to start with.

I enjoyed all the ex boyfriends coming out of the woodwork after Chloe is seen in the media with a hockey star. The testosterone of the hockey games was a great backdrop to passionate sex.
