Sunday, December 15th we will depart from North Station @ 9:55am, arriving in Freeport at 1pm.

Cultural Survival Gift Bazaar
Friday, Dec 06 - Sunday, Dec 08, 2019

This family-friendly festival features art, crafts and other ethically made cultural products created by Indigenous artists from dozens of countries. Enjoy demonstrations by artists, Indigenous cuisine, and live music from around the world. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to exchange, connect, and build community. Chat with Indigenous artists about their crafts and bring home a beautiful memento of your local trip around the world.

Since 1975, Cultural Survival's Bazaars have brought Indigenous artists from the US, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tibet, India, Nepal, China, and more!

Buy finely embroidered tapestries and scarves; jewelry of silver, glass, and stone; aromatic woven natural fiber baskets; brilliantly colored paintings; handmade clothing; carved, knit, wire, and beaded animals; and much more.

This year’s holiday stroll will feature a stylish line up of 14 independently owned shops, boutiques, and galleries, innovative pop ups, food, drink and entertaining festivities that will kick off the holiday season in style! Come ready to shop, stroll, sip and snack as you enjoy exclusive holiday cheer at some of Boston’s premier fashion, gift, home, and food shops in Boston’s North End.

The MassArt Made Holiday Market will be held on December 7, 2019 from 11:00am to 7:00pm in the Design and Media Center's Atrium and Fenway Studio.

Over 70 MassArt students and alumni will sell handmade items including glass, ceramics, photographs, paintings, prints, fibers to jewelry and more!

Stop in for coffee & treats, and shop some budget friendly Christmas novelities, stocking stuffers, handmade articles, books & more.

Check out the Silent Auction! I hear there will be a signed Bruins Hockey puck among them! And be sure to get your raffle tickets!  Raffles will be picked Sunday at 3pm
Tree lightings start tonight! If you can't make it tonight, here are a few more, and a few more things around town!
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department and The Friends of Copley Square welcome the holidays with the annual Copley Square Tree Lighting

TONIGHT Monday, December 2, starting at 5 p.m.

This free event will feature appearances by NECN’s Jenny Johnson, Santa Claus, and Rudolph along with musical performances by vocalist Alexus Lee, the Voices Boston Children’s Chorus, the Boston Pops Brass Quintet, a duet featuring Boston Police Officers Kim Tavares and Stephen McNulty, and Berklee College of Music’s own Sam Robbins.

Light refreshments will be provided by Drake’s Cakes, HP Hood LLC, and attendees are invited to stop by the Fios Treat Truck to enjoy baked goods compliments of Verizon Fios. The Fairmont Copley Plaza will host a family reception immediately following for all in attendance. The reception will include cookie decorating, photos with Santa and treats from the Fairmont Copley Plaza.
The Official Blink! Tree Lighting takes place on
December 3 during a live broadcast on WBZ-TV/CBSBoston at 7:30 p.m.

Hosted by WBZ-TV/CBS Boston news anchors Lisa Hughes and David Wade, the television show will feature holiday entertainment from 17-year-old Amanda Mena of Lynn, Mass., runner-up in the 13th season in 2018 of the nationally televised show America’s Got Talent, the Wellesley Community Choir, a special visit from Santa and the kick-off of the New England Patriot’s Holiday Toy Drive.

 
 Boston Common and the Public Garden Tree Lighting
Thursday, December 5th, 7-8:30pm

Generations have enjoyed and continue to treasure Boston's tree lighting celebration. Twenty-five thousand people of all ages attend the event, which has grown to include a festive stage show with nationally known talent. Join us in the countdown as Mayor Walsh illuminates Boston's official tree and trees on Boston Common and the Public Garden bridge.

Start the holiday season with one big night of bright at our fourth annual tree lighting, Light Up Seaport.

Enjoy live holiday tunes, an interactive art installation, and fun for the whole family. Additionally, we invite you to warm up at local stores during our first-ever Holiday Stroll from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Participating stores will be open to provide hot chocolate, cookies, and other fun surprises.
