If you are at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19, you should:

During a COVID-19 outbreak in your community, stay home as much as possible.

How COVID-19  Spreads

Person-to-person spread

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

  • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
  • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

Watch for symptoms

Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.*

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

Call your doctor if you…

Develop symptoms, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19

The Governor has officially declared state of emergency.  We will just ask you to keep washing your hands, and stay as safe as you can! If you are a likely target for this virus, stay away from large crowds, and do what you can to keep yourself healthy.  If you are not feeling well, please stay home, and if you need to, call ahead to the emergency room/ doctor's office, and get yourself tested and treated!
