Juneteenth Youth Fun Run
Saturday, Jun 19, 2021 9:30a -11:00a
UNMD Run Crew was founded to center Black liberation, joy, and safety through running. This Juneteenth, as the United States commemorates the day when enslaved people in Texas received word that the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed, effectively ending their servitude under the law, we are bringing Boston our second installment of the unsanctioned race.
This time we are thrilled to be teaming up with the one and only MFA Boston as our host. You can find more information about their full day of Juneteenth programming here. Meet us on the Museum lawn at the corner of Fenway and Forsyth Ave for registration.
Co-hosted with SoleTrain
9:30 AM Registration, 10 AM Warm-Up, 10:15 AM Fun Run Relay Event
All runners get treats from Blackbird Donuts! (Cold brew coffee for adults as well, and donuts if supply allows). The first seventy-five registrants under age 18 will be able to participate. Parent/guardian waivers will be emailed out beforehand and available on site.
