The Re-Opening Process

The goal of this phased reopening plan is to methodically allow businesses, services, and activities to resume, while avoiding a resurgence of COVID-19 that could overwhelm our healthcare system and erase the progress we’ve made so far.

  • Each phase will last a minimum of three weeks and could last longer before moving to the next phase
  • If public health data trends are negative, specific industries, regions, and/or the entire Commonwealth may need to return to an earlier phase
  • The Commonwealth will partner with industries to draft Sector-Specific Protocols in advance of future phases (example: restaurant specific protocols will be drafted in advance of Phase 2)
  • If we all work together to defeat COVID-19, we can proceed through each phase

Thank you to all who are still working!

Fridays at 7pm, open your windows/doors and #clapbecausewecare as Massachusettes claps for essential workers!

We hope you are all doing well, and staying healthy.

Yesterday, the Governor announced his plan to cautiously reopen the state.  While things are beginning the process of reopening, Boston is staying behind a bit.   Let's remain optimistic that we will get to our new normal when it is safe to do so!  I know we are all looking forward to so many things!

We hope you are all staying safe, and keeping busy.

There are so many who are working so hard to keep us stocked, fed, safe and healthy, and so many working to help those who are not.

A very heartfelt
Thank you to all of you!  We appreciate you, we are grateful for you, we recognize your sacrifices, and we applaud you!
