The West End Community Center & Bay Cove Human Services thanks you for helping us make the holidays a little brighter for families in our community.

We were able to fill so many wishes for the children!

We will be having another Giving List in the Spring/Summer!
The West End Museum 
Now through February 15, 2020, the West End Museum presents “The Old Howard Theatre,” in celebration of Boston’s oldest and best-loved playhouse, which stood in the heart of Boston’s Scollay Square just steps from the old West End. The Howard’s origin, glory days, and ultimate demise are recounted through photographs, artifacts, and graphic panels.


Tuesday – Friday (12 pm- 5:00 pm)
Saturday (11:00 am – 4:00 pm)

In this highly-anticipated event, fans of The Princess Bride will join the heroic Westley (actor Cary Elwes) in a behind-the-scenes look at life on and off the set of the classic film. After a screening of the iconic film, Elwes will engage in a moderated discussion on classic scenes, revealing never before shared secrets and tales of inconceivable antics!

January 4th, 1-3pm
Experience USS Constitution in a new way

– as a recruit on her historic gun crew! In this family-friendly program, you will learn about the tasks and skills required to make USS Constitution a successful warship. Learn the mechanics of cannons in the Museum and put your gun crew to the test by firing an Alka-seltzer cannon. Then, on board USS Constitution, work together to pass powder between the decks, run a gun drill, and visit behind-the-scenes spaces on the Ship. Learn about Constitution’s mighty firepower in this active, fun, and educational program!

This program is free to the public and space is limited. Advance registration is required. Please complete a registration form at this link to sign up for the program. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

We appreciate everybody who wants to help make this event a meaningful and uplifting celebration of the important contributions of African Americans in history and today
