It's July!
We wish you all a safe and happy summer! The 4th of July is in a few days, and while the fireworks are not at the Hatch Shell this year, there will still be fireworks on the Harbor and the Common. See below for more information!
Take a walk to around the neighborhood! Restaurants are open, the West End Museum is open and has walking tours, our West End Branch library is open to take out books, the North End Feasts and Processions are back, cool down at the Frog Pond Splash Pad, and we are still working on something fun for the end of the summer! Hope you are staying cool through this heat wave, but looks like some cooler temperatures are on the way to cool us down. When it's hot, try out a no cook 4th of July Spinach Salad to beat the heat!
Enjoy the weather, enjoy each other, and keep staying safe!

Boston Pops July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at Boston Common 2021
Sunday, Jul 04, 2021 8:00p -11:00p
Boston Common
Admission: FREE
Boston Pops July 4th Spectacular is back after skipping a year due to COVID-19, but not on The Esplanade & Hatch Shell, yet on Boston Common…
The Boston Pops is partnering with the City of Boston on a live fireworks display from the Boston Common, bringing the closing portion of the July 4th event back across the state to the city that has proudly presented this iconic, large-scale event since 1974. The Boston Common fireworks display will be carried by Bloomberg and locally in Boston on WHDH-TV Channel 7.
“After careful consideration of recent issuances from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts easing restrictions on masking, physical distancing, and capacity allowances, the Boston Pops determined that in order to best ensure the health and safety of everyone involved, it was prudent to postpone its return to the Esplanade until 2022, when there would be adequate time to plan and execute the complex event, which usually entails a ten-month planning process involving multiple government agencies and many event and concert planning organizations.”
WATCH A LIVE TELEVISED PERFORMANCE AT TANGLEWOOD:
The Boston Pops July 4th Spectacular will be broadcast and streamed live at Tanglewood on Sunday, July 4, from 8-11PM on Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg.com, and in Boston on WHDH-TV Channel 7.
An allotment of FREE tickets to attend the concert in person at Tanglewood will be made available to the public starting Monday, June 21 at 10AM at tanglewood.org/july4. These tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a four-ticket per household limit.
