Safe Kids Spotlight: Missoula/Granite County Buckle Up Montana Coalition

Each month, we feature one of our Coalition partners and share information about the important work they do to make safety a family priority in western Montana. This month, our Safe Kids Spotlight is on Missoula/Granite County Buckle Up Montana Coalition.

The Missoula/Granite County Buckle Up Montana Coalition is a program of the Montana Department of Transportation led by Missoula City-County Health Department. Buckle Up's mission is to reduce injuries and fatalities resulting from traffic crashes. Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of injury and death for Montana children age 1 to 14 and approximately four out of five car seats are not installed or used properly. The Missoula/Granite County Buckle Up Montana Coalition partners with Safe Kids Missoula to educate parents and caregivers about child passenger safety and coordinate car seat safety checkup events.

Learn more about the Missoula/Granite County Buckle Up Montana Coalition by visiting their website or following them on Facebook. You can have your car seat checked by a certified technician at a free car seat safety checkup event.
