Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute.
GEBC is excited to be updated on the progress made by the University of Newcastle (UON) to take up residence in the newly created Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute.
Delivered in partnership between The Australian Government, NSW Government and UON, this facility will transform community health and clinical practice on the Central Coast:

What does it all mean:
  • Initial 170 students and research professionals from Jan 2021
  • Up to 700 student Nurses to the UON’s clinical school from July 2021
Gosford Beats - Update
The Gosford Beats Project is excited to add General Manager HIT FM and MMM Central Coast/Newcastle Kristen Budd to the GB committee. We now have a diverse team of skills to make the project a success for the City of Gosford.
Time for Council to resume meetings in Gosford
Almost a year ago Central Coast Councillors decided that conducting council meetings in Gosford was dangerous (after spending hundreds of thousands on making Gosford Council Chambers ‘safe’) and since then all meetings have been held in Wyong.
With the suspension of Council GEBC has asked the Administrator to resume meetings at Gosford particularly as Gosford has been designated the Region’s Capital by the Government.
Premier brings Coast under Greater Sydney Commission
The Premier, Gladys Berejiklian has announced that the Central Coast Region will be brought under the control of the Greater Sydney Commission.

“I have asked the GSC to bring together key stakeholders on the Central Coast to identify new opportunities for economic and employment growth in the region,” Ms. Berejiklian said. “Greater Sydney Commission (GSC), with its strong track record in delivering good local outcomes, would coordinate the development and delivery of the Central Coast Strategy.”
“The NSW Government is committed to providing more jobs on the Central Coast, a region which is expected to grow by 95,250 people between 2016 and 2041,” she said.

The Chamber has invited the Chairman of the Greater Sydney Commission to address us, Members, early in the New Year.
University of Newcastle Gosford Campus - Update
