Wendy Woodland
Principal, West Jeff ES

Untiring Commitment is a Gift

Principal Woodland's dedication to her students, their families, and WJES staff goes way beyond the traditional expectations of a principal. Not only does she help distribute lunch and breakfast, she has also helped a family with transportation needs challenged by impacts from COVID-19. She greets each student with a smile and kind demeanor always, supports her staff with positivity, and works each day to make the school a wonderful place to learn and thrive. Her untiring commitment is a gift to education! Ms. Woodland has persevered, even more than usual, during these unexpected and extraordinary times.

Terry Winslow
Facility Manager, Mitchell ES

Building Relationships, Tending the Building

Terry is a valuable member of the Mitchell team. He exemplifies excellence in the area of facility management. Whether it is painting a wall for students to write their names when they've achieved a goal, helping to fix a door, or doing extra vacuuming to accommodate the new lunch schedule, he is ready to help in the most positive way. He builds positive relationships with students, staff, and families. The building is beautiful and he works extra to make all the things count for the work being done with kiddos. Everyone at Mitchell feels so lucky to have 'Mr. Terry' as part of the Mustang community!
