It's my birthday . . . and since I can't be raising a glass with all my friends, instead let's celebrate by doing something for the community, together!
You might remember that last year for my birthday we raised $1500 to build a new roof on Studio Mariposa, a free art center for border kids in Naco, Mexico. Thank you so much to all of you who pitched in to do this together.
This year, let's support Keep Phoenix Together's free DACA clinic! In December several of you contributed to this project, and we were able to purchase a printer, signage, and supplies for the clinic. Now let's be sure we can staff it every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 12-4pm by raising some funds.
Thoi, Laura, and so many wonderful volunteers are supporting clients through their DACA applications, which are quite the process! In just four clinics so far, KPT has supported 14 clients, three of whom are finished with their applications already, and given out two scholarships.
