It’s the end of the program year for our Charlotte Chapter AGO, and the beginning of a new season of recitals, programs and all that is good for our members and friends. I have enjoyed being your dean for the past 2 years, and I know you will be in excellent hands with Mark Johanson, our new dean. I must add that I have never seen a more cooperative board in any organization I have been a part of. If we needed something done, there was at least one volunteer to handle it. Sometimes someone offered to complete a job that wasn’t requested. This is unheard of—and has been much appreciated. Thank you, board members of 2020-2021! You are all “gems”.
Our election process of over, and we have new board members to fill the slots of those of us leaving. Thank you to all of you who agreed to be on the ballot! We appreciate your willingness to contribute to our chapter. As the year progresses, many members will be asked to help with various tasks. Please say yes! And, you are also welcome to volunteer for a need you may see.
Be sure to join us online on May 10th for the installation of new board members. Old and new board members will gather together at Christ Lutheran Church, for a short recital and installation by our District Convener, Justin Smith, by Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to the live feed.
Here is hoping that we will be able to have live recitals this summer, and live programs beginning in September! I think we are all tired of virtual ones. I hope to see all of you in person SOON!!!
Nancy Watson, Dean
